Calling all the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”!  Do you or anyone you know fit this description???

Evolution Media, the producers of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” is casting its next show in the Beverly Hills area. We are seeking upscale, affluent women living fabulous and glamorous lives.
Bravo is looking for outgoing, exciting, strong, focused women who reside in and around the Beverly Hills area that want to share their lives. Rebate Rules

Posted on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009 at 5:30 pm

It’s not too late for a rebate.

Working with nannies, you may get some questions about the economic stimulus tax rebate checks. Here’s the scoop:

As of July 11th, the U.S. Treasury Department will have issued tax rebate payments to all taxpayers who:

1) Have a valid Social Security Number

2) Have earned income between $3,000 and $75,000 in 2007 (up to $150,000 for married filing jointly)

3) Cannot be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s tax return. These tax rebate checks were available only to those who are paid LEGALLY.

Checks will continue to be sent to all qualifying taxpayers who file a 2007 tax return by October 15th 2008. Luckily, there’s still time for nannies who were paid “under the table” in 2007 to get caught up and receive their rebate check even if they’ve never filed a return in the past. For those employees who did not qualify for a tax rebate check in 2007, there will be an avenue to obtain the benefit when they file their 2008 tax return next year as long as they are paid LEGALLY in 2008.

Obama and his blackberry

Posted on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 6:56 pm

Over the course of this week, our nation has celebrated the inauguration of Barack Obama! Today an interesting post came up online that I would like to share.  It talks about the fact that our president is in need of his personal blackberry and his desires to keep it and all of his contacts.  There was a little bit of controversy whether or not he should be able to keep it.  There were fears that the “bad guys” would be able to track his every move through his handy device.  Apparently, his security team has protected him by securing his device aswell.  How does this relate to us?  This shows how technologically advanced we are as a society, and how dependent we are on our contacts.  Today, everyone has some sort of personal cell phone that does so much more than just allow us to talk to each other.  Families and friends use texting/bbming/chatting as a way to communicate quickly with each other.  It is not unheard of for a family to put an employee on their plan.  For example, if a nanny needs to arrange plans with a busy parent, texting is a discrete and easy way to do it!
